Rory McIlroy catapulted to the lead with a birdie on the tough par 4 10th hole at Pebble Beach, and then put the clamps down by going 4-under over his next 5 holes to put the tournament away as he picked up his 27th career PGA Tour victory.

Rory's winning bag hasn't changed much from last year, except he has switched balls, going from the TaylorMade TP5x into the TaylorMade TP5.

Driver: TaylorMade Qi10 (9 degrees @8.25)

Shaft: Fujikura Ventus Black 6 X (45 inches)

Starting off at the top of Rory's bag where he games the TaylorMade Qi10, playing a 9 degree head turned down to 8.25 degreees with a Ventus Black 6 x shaft in it. Rory is the best driver of the golf ball in the world and it showed this week. He averaged 336.7 yards off the tee, which led the field, and wasn't just ridiculously long either, as he tied for 19th in driving accuracy, finding 38 of 56 fairways. Perhaps no drive stood out more than on the par 5 14th hole in Sunday's final round. McIlroy cut the corner of the dog leg right, and his 339 yard bomb off the tee left him just 229 yards from the green. That drive helped set him up for an eagle that all but put the tournament away. Overall, Rory led the field in Strokes Gained Off The Tee, gaining 5.970 strokes on the field.

Fairway Woods: TaylorMade Qi10 (15 degrees, 18 degrees)

Shaft: Fujikura Ventus Black 8 X (15), Fujikura Ventus Black 9 X (18)

Moving to his fairway woods where Rory stays with the same Qi10 model as the driver. This fairway wood was popular among Tour players and amateurs alike last year, ranking as the GolfWRX Member's Choice top fairway wood of 2024! Just like his driver, Rory excels hitting these clubs, and they give him not only clubs to occasionally hit into par 5's with, but two great options off the tee when Rory needs to hit a specific distance, or a specific flight compared to his driver.

Irons: TaylorMade P760 (4), TaylorMade Rors Proto (5-9)

Shaft: Project X 7.0 (4-9)

For his irons, Rory combos a TaylorMade P760 4-Iron with his own Prototype irons, which play similarly to a P730. While his driver was certainly the star of the week, Rory's irons were also excellent. He hit 51 of 72 greens in regulation, which was tied for 19th best, and finished 17th in Strokes Gained Approach To Green, gaining 3.368 strokes on the field. He had a couple sensational iron shots in Sunday's final round, but perhaps nothing stood out quite like his iron shot from the fairway bunker on 10. He was able to launch it over the lip of the bunker and put it to less than 18 feet of the pin, despite hitting directly into the wind. He would make that birdie putt to give him the outright lead and he never looked back from there.

Wedges: TaylorMade MG4 (46-09SB, 50-09SB, 54-11SB, 60-08LB)

Shafts: Project X 6.5 (46-54), Project X 6.5 Wedge (60)

Rory opts for 4 TaylorMade MG4 wedges in his bag, playing a 46-degree in place of a traditional pitching wedge in addition to a 50, 54 and 60-degree wedges. With his length off the tee, Rory was playing wedge often into the greens, but they were also solid around the green. Rory Converted 16 of his 21 up-and-down opportunities, which ranked 8th best among all players. Overall, he only gained 0.385 strokes around the green, which was 33rd best, but he did a great job of minimizing damage as he chased down another PGA tour victory.

Putter: TaylorMade Spider Tour X

Grip: SuperStroke Zenergy Pistol Tour

Much like World No. 1 Scottie Scheffler, Rory's putter can often be the determining factor in whether he wins or not. Playing a similar TaylorMade Spider Tour X putter as Scheffler, Rory showed that when his putter is working, there aren't many players out there that can beat him. He made 86 feet of putts over the course of the tournament, which was the 6th most among all players. A few of those made putts came when he needed them most on Sunday including his birdie on 10 and eagle on 14.  He also averaged 1.63 Putts per GIR, which ranked 15th. That performance helped him gain 4.262 strokes on the field, which was 7th best, and if he can continue to putt like that moving forward, Rory could be in line for a monster season.
