Ping G LE 2 Fairway Wood
Who’s It For?
The PING G LE2 product line had a lot to live up to, given the performance of the G LE series. However, it appears as if the G LE2 products may exceed those expectations. As it pertains to the fairway woods, PING added premium adjustability and updated the forgiveness and distance technologies to produce fairway woods that launch high and carry far. The PING G LE2 fairway woods are designed for women and golfers with moderate or slower swing speeds.
The Tech Story
The marquee additional technology in the G LE2 fairway woods is the added adjustability in the form of an eight-position hosel sleeve. Golfers can now make adjustments to loft and lie in the fairway woods, further enhancing the performance of the clubs for each golfer that puts the G LE2 fairway woods in the bag. Meanwhile, PING has implemented a thinner, faster maraging C300 clubface, resulting in increased MOI and higher ball speeds. Additionally, the ultra-lightweight ULT240 shaft increases club speed on the downswing and results in more distance. The PING G LE2 fairway woods also include extra heel-side weighting to combat the common block or slice miss and produce straighter shots.
