Ping Sigma 2 Valor 400 Stealth Putter
Who’s It For?
PING’s new line of Sigma 2 putters was created to help golfers develop more consistency on the greens, which is accomplished through the use of a new face insert that promotes improved speed control. The Valor head model is a high-MOI mallet design created to enhance alignment and stability. The Valor 400, meanwhile, offers the same head shape, but it weighs 400 grams and an additional 50 grams is added to the butt of the grip. This putter can be customized as face-balanced or moderate toe hang to work for putting strokes with moderate arc or a straight-back, straight-through stroke.
The Tech Story
Though the Sigma 2 Valor 400 putter does not include an adjustable shaft like the rest of the Sigma 2 line, it does come equipped with all of the other superb technological advancements. The new Dual-Durometer face insert features a soft front layer and a firmer back layer to provide precision on the shorter putts and feedback on the longer lag putts. The clubhead also includes the same easy alignment display and stealth finish as the original Valor. Where the 400 Valor differs from the standard Valor is in terms of weight and length. The clubhead weighs in at 400 grams, while an extra 50 grams has been added to the grip end of the shaft to promote better consistency on the putting stroke. Additionally, the Sigma 2 400 Valor putter is stocked with a 38-inch shaft and a 15-inch grip. These modifications make the 400 Valor putter the most forgiving and highest-MOI putter PING has offered to date.
